Is it just me or does anyone else think that the front of a UPS truck looks like Darth Vader's mask?
I am sitting outside on what is probably one of the most beautiful days of the season. Eden is walking around picking flowers and dandelions(her newest hobby), I am sitting on the sidewalk with the laptop on my lap (imagine that!) and we are waiting for Ezra and Gila to come home from school. This is undoubtedly pretty amazing.
I am not an "ageist", really I am not. But I think that the self-checkout lines at Giant should be limited to customers UNDER THE AGE OF 60. Just my opinion.
Forgive my tardiness on this subject but who else was thinking "isn't that a girl on Yeshiva Lane?" when they read about Suri Cruise?
Over the first days of yom tov, my family decided that when my father becomes the next head of Sanhedrin (don't ask, its my family), after he abolished the kitniyos issue, the first thing we would want him to do would be to make Pesach last for one month just every four years.
I have to say that today, on the fifth day of pesach, I am definitely rethinking this. I better go call my father before he does anything drastic.
Between starting a new job at a few weeks ago and making pesach, I feel like I haven't been able to poke my head out from under the rock I call life. It is horrible, with all the cooking pre-pesach, the cleaning/changing over, and the mad frenzy of keeping my house clean during the first days (not to mention serving a whole bunch of meals and keeping track of the various company, food, kids, etc...) I am literally exhausted. The problem is that the kids still need to be entertained with chol hamoed activities, and I still have to prepare for the second days and actually clean this mess of the house (it stayed spotlessly clean for the first two days of yom tov and by shabbos it sort of got out of control).
I just want to sit around and do nothing, literally nothing. Which I guess is why, tonight, instead of doing anything productive, I sat around and did nothing. I watched old episodes of You Can't Do That On Television on Youtube. Two comments: 1. I used to watch You Can't Do That On Television every day at 4:00 when I got home from school on Nickelodeon, I remember the specific episodes I watched tonight. Crazy.2. Alanis, what were you thinking?!?
Oh,I also watched the ending of the Series Finale of the Wonder Years as well as the groundbreaking Saved By the Bell Episode when Jessie is "so excited, so excited, so...scared!"
I guess my hiatus from pesach is over and tommorow will bring more cooking, cleaning, and entertaining. I just wish I could relax just a bit longer...
