Summer's almost over, Thank G-d.
I have missed writing on this thing, but I honestly felt like I had little time to breathe. Its funny, I didn't work as often during the summer as I usually do during the year, but I felt like I never had any time to catch my breath.
Ezra and Gila started camp at insanely late times (9:30 and 10:00 AM) and got out of camp not much later than that. The lack of structure of the summer drove them crazy and pushed their behavior to the limits.
Eden, G-d bless her, is a terror. She is adoreable, but she is getting into EVERYTHING. She won't sit still. Not during meal time, play time, diaper changing time, bath time, and almost every other time I can think of. For the amount of chasing her I do, I should be a whole lot skinnier than I am.
I am not complaining. I'm just tired. It also doesn't help that I have a lovely case of bronchitis and I sound like I swallowed Kermit the frog and probably some other muppets as well.
We have a week and a half to go until school starts and then life gets turned upside down again. First grade for Ezra. (pre) Nursery for Gila. Hebrew and English homework. Friendship politics. Fights about clothes (yes even 4 year olds have fashion opionions). More chasing of almost one year olds.
Calgon, take me away!
My second cousin, Eliyahu Gelfand (formerly known as Ilya) recently went through a life threatening ordeal.
He wrote about it in a beautiful and moving way.
Enjoy.
