SAN FRANCISCO, California (AP) -- Izora Rhodes Armstead, who sang the 1980's dance club hit "It's Raining Men" as one half of the Weather Girls, has died. Her age was unknown.
Yeah, well one of them probably crushed her. (Not to make light of death)
Here is a conversation between Ezra (age 5) and myself:
Ezra: Who signed up to be the next president?
Me: George W. Bush and John Kerry.
Ezra: Oh, so the next president will be, John Kerry (stated in a tone of obvious all knowing-ness).
Me: Why?
Ezra: Well, George W. Bush was already allowed to be president, so now John Kerry needs to get a turn.
I caught a bit of the Emmy awards last night. Here is what I don't get. All the winners who get up there to accept their awards who say things like, "I'm shocked" or "What a surprise, I don't have anything prepared to say."
Hello- there were five nominees. You are at the stupid awards. You obviously knew there was some chance that you would win. Who are you trying to fool? The world knows you are an ego- maniac. After all, you're in show business.
To anyone reading this: K'siva V'Chasima Tova/L'Shana Tova to you. May this be a year full of happiness, peace and opportunity.

Well, it has been some time since I blogged, but I wanted to announce the birth of our new daughter, Eden Yael. She was born last week on September 1. She weighed in at 5 lbs 13 3/4 oz. She was named after Greg's grandfather, Edward Chesler who passed away this past year, and we are not sure who she looks like.
What to say. Things are wonderful. Things are hard. The kids are doing great. The kids are doing terribly. I feel great. I feel awful. I'm wide awake. I am falling asleep standing up.
Basically- this is a wonderful experience, but with all wonderful experiences- it isn't always a piece of cake. But look at that kid, aint she adoreable?
