Update on Me

I feel horrible I haven't updated on my condition. Especially because things have really improved. I went back to the surgeon last week who told me that he saw a marked change (for the better) in my reflexes, indicating that the spinal cord was being MUCH LESS affected than either previously thought or than it had been. This basically means that assuming things stay the same, I won't need surgery. Yay!!!! I go back on Friday but I am assuming that things will stay the same, especially since I am really starting to feel a whole lot better. Over the past few days, the pain has decreased signficantly. I still have a dull ache in my neck and my arm that reminds me almost of a bee buzzing in my ear that won't go away, but it is no where near as horribly painful or as debilitating as it was.

At this point it time, I want to publicly thank all my family and friends who were (and continue to be) unbelievably supportive during this ordeal. Thank G-d, this wasn't a huge sickness but it definitely affected me and my family. So thank you to everyone for the phone calls, e-mails, messages, visitors, meals, shopping trips, offers, kid watching, sympathising (that is a big one) and everything else you all did. It is amazing to be surrounded by such wonderful and big hearted people. Thank you.
