annoys me.
This has been an awesome winter, in my humble opinion. No snow.
I planted 100 tulip bulbs in the fall. They started to bloom last week. Now there is over a foot of snow covering them. So much for the time and effort I put in to make my lawn look nice this coming spring. Argh.
I feel cranky...
Posted by peninah at February 12, 2006 08:03 PM | TrackBackI haven't left the house all day because of the snow :( Blech.
Posted by: Sara at February 12, 2006 08:25 PMThey should still be okay. I planted tulips in fall of 2004. They started coming up last spring, and then there were several snows, but they still looked nice in the spring. And they were coming up again this spring pre-snow. This happens almost every year, so they should be fine. I feel cranky too, though--I shoveled for over 2 hours today. I thought exercise was supposed to make you feel good!
Posted by: Lara at February 12, 2006 08:35 PMLara- you should have asked the neighborhood snow-blowers to blow your snow! Hopefully you are right about the tulips. I will be SOOO annoyed.
Posted by: peninah at February 12, 2006 09:26 PMI hae snow. I'm from Atlanta. What's the worst thing about this is that it happened on a weekend. What good is snow if it sdoesn't cancel school?
Posted by: Jewboy at February 12, 2006 09:50 PMAlthough, we parents of school age children love it when it falls out on the weekend. But I heard BY opens tommorow at 12:30. Yay, no need to make lunch!
Posted by: peninah at February 12, 2006 10:09 PMbut...no lunch...but you have to get Gila to school some way...I'm off!! BubbyT
Posted by: bubby carpool at February 12, 2006 10:19 PMWhy should I ask them to use their snowblowers on my snow? Besides, I can use the exercise. And I gave myself a day off of the elliptical because of the shoveling!
