Gosh, this is the best thing to happen to Jeopardy since Darryl Hammond on the Celebrity Jeopardy skits of SNL:
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (AP) -- A Utah man is the new "Jeopardy!" king, having pocketed more than a half-million dollars during a dominating 16-show run on the quiz show.Ken Jennings was seen on his 16th straight "Jeopardy!" episode Wednesday, winning once again to bring his total winnings to $512,959.
I have been watching Jeopardy the past few nights and kudos to this dude. I feel bad for the other players though. They look defeated before the show even begins. Can you imagine if you finally get on Jeopardy and you get there and they are like, "by the way, you are playing against a guy who has won more than half a million bucks already, but don't feel any pressure!"
Posted by peninah at June 24, 2004 08:42 AMBeen a while since I watched Jeopardy with any regularity, but didn't they used to retire champions after 5 straight wins and bring them back for the champions tournament or whatever?
Posted by: dabrettman at June 24, 2004 08:55 AMI am sick of seeing him win! It doesn't seem fair to the other players - he just dominates every show. And it must be pretty intimidating to his challengers. I liked the 5-show limit, because it gave more people a chance.
Posted by: Shoshana at June 24, 2004 09:29 AMThe only time I ever see Jeopordy is when I'm at the JCC sweating on the eliptical's, and personally, I think its funny that he's totally killing everyone else. The other night he left some woman in the red!

Posted by: Yirga at June 24, 2004 02:22 PMKen on the show June 30, 2004 when given the answer relating to roughy,Ken gave the questions as rouffy and Alex pronounced the correct pronunciation for Ken and said yes that is correct. When others on the show give an incorrect pronunciation they are penalized. What are the correct rules, when you don't pronounce words correctly, others have automatically been penalized. Alex was not politically correct in giving Ken the correct pronounciation and stating that is correct

Posted by: ruby at June 30, 2004 06:01 PMGod, I'm sick of that Ken! He does know a lot, but he also has the upper hand. He has been on the show long enough to master the buzzer, and then, when he doesn't know it he has a few seconds to guess. Believe me, a lot of those questions can be answered correctly with a good guess. It's really time to see Ken go.
Posted by: bee at July 8, 2004 08:05 PMKen is obviously a robot.
Posted by: Gort at July 19, 2004 02:29 PMeverybody who thinks Ken sucks is a ******* ******* Ken is INCREDIBLE!
