Cicada Pictures

If you are not lucky enough to live in Baltimore or you are not in one of the other cities fortunate enough to have been infested, the Baltimore Sun has readers' pictures of cicadas here (via Baltimore Roll).

This little guy is my favorite:

This picture fits in nicely with my color scheme (or lack thereof).

Gross!! Knock on wood, so far Pickwick has not been infested, but the surrounding streets are, so I'm sure the critters will be on our turf soon.

P.S. Thanks for the van yesterday, Peninah! We'll have to invite you over to see all our furniture.

No prob, Sara! I actually cleaned it out today (I feel guilty that you guys had to use it yesterday when it was gross) so if you need it again, let me know...

Yuck yuck yuck. I've been out of the country for the past 2 weeks and have seen only snow, no cicadas. I'd prefer to stay in the snow rather than return to yucky yucky cicadas. But I have to come back tomorrow night. YUCK!!!!!! Maybe I'll just camp out in National Airport until they're gone.

I spoke too soon, the invasion came last night. The entrances to the buildings have cicadas all over and they are all over my porch too! Thank goodness I am going away for Shabbas.
