I am not a big Philly sports fan, I have never been to a game at Veteran's Stadium, but having grown up in Baltimore- I understand the significance and sentimentality of a story like this. I am sure that there are a lot of Philadelphians who feel like a part of their history was imploded this morning. That is too bad.

It's funny - I blogged this as well but I took it down b/c I couldn't get the video to work as a link - turns out they only had the footage up until 9 AM.

Reminds me of the whole controversey that they had with Memorial Stadium here in Baltimore. Although for some reason, I can't seem to remember if they went ahead and destroyed it? Anyone know?
